Trial Rules: Just a Few Things to Know
When does the trial start?
Your trial begins on the day your FreeRoam scooter is delivered. That gives you 14 full days to ride it in your daily routine — to work, the gym, or the dairy.
What's can I do during the trial period?
You get full access to your FreeRoam scooter for 2 weeks. Use it like it’s yours — just ride responsibly. If you’re not loving it, we’ll take it back for free.
What is the restocking fee?
We charge a 15% restocking fee to cover the cost of inspecting and cleaning returned scooters. It also helps keep our 2-week trial program fair and sustainable
What if I want to return it?
No problem. Just contact us within 14 days of delivery and we’ll organise a free pickup. Once we’ve received and inspected the scooter, you’ll get a full refund.
Is normal wear and tear okay?
Yep! We expect some dust from daily use. Just keep it in good condition and ride it on streets/footpaths like normal.
What voids the trial?
Returns may be declined if the scooter is:
- Damaged (cracks, dents, broken parts)
- Misused (e.g. off-road riding, water damage, stunts)
- Missing parts (like the charger or tools)
- Modified or tampered with
What do I need to return with the scooter?
- The scooter
- Charger
- Any Tools / Accessories that came with it
Who can use the trial?
The trial is available to Auckland customers only, and limited to one trial per household.
What if I’m using a payment plan?
If you return the scooter within the trial period, your payment plan will be cancelled and any payments made will be refunded.
