If you notice reduced range, we can load test your battery using FreeRoam’s battery testing process to accurately check its health under real-world conditions not just a simple voltage check.

Depending on the results:

• If your scooter is within warranty, we’ll assess it against our battery capacity thresholds and with FreeRoam Battery Assurance if above acceptable range you may be eligible for repair or replacement.
  
• If your scooter is out of warranty, we offer fixed-price battery replacements so you can keep riding without surprises.

With FreeRoam Battery Assurance, age is only a number we make sure you always have a clear, fair option to stay on the road.

Battery capacity thresholds are the minimum battery health levels we use to fairly assess wear over time.
Because all lithium batteries naturally lose some capacity with use, FreeRoam sets clear thresholds to separate normal wear from unusual degradation.

Our typical thresholds are:

• Up to 6 months / 1,000 km: minimum 85% capacity
• Up to 12 months / 2,000 km: minimum 80% capacity
  

Battery capacity is assessed using FreeRoam battery load testing, which measures real-world performance under load not just voltage at rest.
If a battery falls below these thresholds:
It may be eligible for warranty assessment, or
Covered under FreeRoam Battery Assurance, depending on age and usage
These thresholds help ensure assessments are fair, transparent, and consistent for every rider.
